What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy uses music as a therapeutic tool or medium to support participants in learning, developing, and improving life skills, in order to meet specific therapeutic goals.
Northwest Music provides music therapy services for both individuals and groups with a wide range of needs. The service also works in collaboration with organizations to deliver music therapy service within the community.
Northwest Music runs specialized music groups for children with specific needs, including:
Social–emotional groups
designed for children who would like or need support in developing social and emotional skills, such as self-regulation, social behavior skills, and emotional understanding.

Non-verbal music groups
available for individuals with limited or non-verbal communication.
*All programmes are designed and led by a qualified and HCPC-registered music therapist, ensuring professional standards and child-centred care.
